Question for the day.

Should we restart drilling off the coast of California to improve our supply of oil?

I don't believe we should drill off our coast. Accidents happen, and oil spills happen - we need to keep our shoreline safe. We've destroyed almost every other aspect of nature. Any way, why can't we make things better for our children and grandchildren? More oil production will make for more pollution from cars, and then comes other problems/concerns to our babies, etc. In my opinion, we are a selfish nation that wants everything our own way, no matter what the cost. Ophs, just fell off my soapbox!

Yes, Karen:
We are living in a selfish world and time in history. Everyone wants a solution, and then they say, but do not put the answer in my back yard. I have been so excited by Honda, G.M. and some others. They all have R & D Hydrogen cars on the road being tested. This type of “Next Generation Car,” is one which I would part with my hard earned cash to by, for the ecology.

We have so many nuclear powered ships all over the sea and under the sea. Yes, you could put one of these reactor designs in my back yard.

Yes, I believe we should drill off our shores. Something must be done about our escalating gasoline prices. I understand that drilling processes are much safer now than they have been in the past.

I think our country will be much safer if we can distance ourselves from those in the middle east from whom now we purchase much of our oil.

I'm also in agreement with nuclear development.
