Neighnor?

“Who is my neighbor?” He spoke these condescending words with an artificial humility, and a semi condescension. This quote, Teacher of the law,” responded as he was asked a question by Jesus.
Surely not the tax man!
You can not mean that lady of the night?
You know that I would not touch a leaper?
A dirty faced child of questionable linage?
You don’t intend for me to be a neighbor to those of a varied ethnic background?

I have no question that these and other examples raced thought his mind as Jesus began to relay His story.
